This part attaches to the brewhead and holds your coffee machine's filter and its ESE pods, forcing water through the coffee, extracting flavour from the grounds through the filter. A faulty or broken holder could allow grounds to escape, and can adversely affect the even extraction of the coffee's flavour, and leak water from the brewhead.
